A stone residence set against the mountain landscape of Faqra, designed by Raoul Vernier. EFS supplied and installed the glazed openings.
The envelope uses embedded framing to preserve the residence’s minimal expression. Behind the reduced visible profiles, high watertightness and integrated drainage respond to the exposed conditions of Faqra.
Security is carried within the same architectural assembly rather than added visibly in front of it. The completed openings meet an RC4 burglary-resistance classification.
The openings use Ponzio SL600 and SL1300 sliding systems with WS65.
Embedded drainage, weather protection and physical resistance are coordinated within the same detail. Laminated security glass and locking components remain behind the reduced profiles where the openings meet the stone.
